01
Fit the closure to the road and work area
The lane arrangement should connect the closure length and taper requirements with the physical work zone, intersections, driveways and the way traffic is expected to pass the site.
- Check that access and side-road movements remain understandable in every stage.
- Account for peak-period, walking and cycling impacts identified in the brief.
02
Lane-closure brief and site evidence
Provide the road layout, closure and work lengths, dates, hours, methodology, staging, photos and affected accesses. Include existing drawings or authority comments where available.
- Show plant and delivery movements that cross or enter the closed area.
- Identify any part of the proposed layout that depends on an unverified measurement.
03
Confirm the staging and submission pathway
The next step is a scope review of the TMP, TMD and any related CAR or WAP information, followed by confirmation of the documents and field service requested.
- Send all stages together so one drawing does not contradict another.
- Allow for reviewer comments and operational changes before the planned start.
