Make the CAR describe the same job as the TMP
The work description, corridor location, excavation status, methodology and dates should remain consistent across the CAR and related traffic management documents.
- Check the road name, frontage and work limits against the drawing or sketch.
- Include reinstatement information where the activity disturbs the corridor.
02
CAR information to assemble before lodging
Send the exact site, work description, excavation or non-excavation details, dates, hours and available TMP or sketch plan. Include the intended access arrangements and any known authority requirements.
- Use current documents rather than mixing details from earlier programmes or stages.
- Allow for review time instead of treating the proposed start date as accepted.
03
Review the application package as one set
Send the draft CAR information with the supporting files for a consistency check. Any gaps can then be separated into applicant actions, TMP changes and authority-response items.
- Provide the original reviewer wording if comments have already been issued.
- Confirm which party will submit and maintain the corridor record.
