Turn the construction programme into workable traffic stages

Civil projects often change work areas, plant movements and access arrangements over time. The TMP and TMDs should distinguish those stages rather than presenting one static layout for the whole programme.

  • Connect each traffic stage to the relevant construction activity and work area.
  • Show side-road, pedestrian, cyclist and property-access effects as the project moves.
02

Construction information needed for staging

Provide construction drawings, the stage plan, methodology, programme, plant and delivery movements, traffic impacts, access requirements and current site photos.

  • Identify long-duration arrangements and short work windows separately.
  • Forward programme or method changes that make an existing TMP stage obsolete.
03

Agree the first issue and the amendment pathway

A scope review can define the initial TMP and drawing set, CAR or WAP information, and how later construction-stage changes will be supplied and controlled.

  • Nominate the current source drawings and stage sequence.
  • State whether field establishment or ongoing traffic management is part of the request.
