What applies to Hauraki District road-corridor work?
For work affecting a Hauraki local road, Your TMP Designer can prepare the risk-based TMP, assemble the CAR material for Submitica and plan the field operation. Hauraki District Council decides whether to approve the application and issue the WAP; after that, confirmed crews can establish, monitor, adjust within approval and remove the controls.
02
Hauraki's current NZGTTM application route
The council's 1 July 2026 transition means new applications need current risk-based documentation. We build the plan around the activity, road users and local network effects, then package the supporting site information for lodgement.
- Hauraki requires a CAR and/or TMP approval before work starts in the boundary-to-boundary road reserve.
- From 1 July 2026 the council accepts NZGTTM applications and no longer accepts new CoPTTM applications.
03
Service location before excavation
Before trenching, affected underground operators must be identified and consulted. The CAR package should show a readable, site-specific layout and the full extent of the proposed installation.
- The district combines compact town centres, rural roads and high-speed state-highway interfaces.
- Forestry or repetitive heavy-vehicle activity requires advance consultation and information about volumes, axle loads, season and safety arrangements.
04
Heavy vehicles, farms and community access
Hauraki work can affect logging movements, dairy access, small town businesses and long rural detours. Establishment planning accounts for the vehicles and people actually using the route, not only the work crew.
- We can prepare an NZGTTM-aligned submission and support the Submitica workflow.
- We can deliver the approved field controls subject to WAP conditions and confirmed availability.
05
WAP-controlled setup and completion
The issued WAP may carry special conditions. We establish against the approved documents, monitor traffic and pedestrian performance, record permitted changes, uplift the equipment and support the completion step.
- Council issues the WAP after CAR approval, and a CAR approval alone does not replace TMP approval.
- Pedestrian, driveway and business access must remain clean and usable unless the permit expressly allows otherwise.

Hauraki District activities we can plan and deliver
Hauraki local-road utility installations
Planning and approved field controls for excavation, maintenance and utility activity, shaped by this local constraint: The district combines compact town centres, rural roads and high-speed state-highway interfaces.
Hauraki forestry and rural access work
TMP and corridor support for crossings, deliveries, cranes, scaffolding or frontage work. The delivery method also accounts for forestry or repetitive heavy-vehicle activity requires advance consultation and information about volumes, axle loads, season and safety arrangements.
Hauraki events across stopbank communities
Risk-based planning for events, closures and temporary changes to pedestrian, cyclist or vehicle movement, including works around stopbanks, drainage areas and low-lying routes need weather and access contingencies.

Hauraki District TMP and establishment questions
Does Hauraki accept new CoPTTM plans?
No. Council says new applications from 1 July 2026 must use the NZGTTM approach; earlier approved CoPTTM applications remain valid only until expiry.
Where is a Hauraki CAR lodged?
Through Submitica, with the TMP and other site-specific material requested by Council.
Can work begin when the CAR shows approved?
Only when the required TMP is also approved and Council has issued the WAP and applicable conditions.
Do forestry operations need extra information?
Council's land-transport policy calls for advance consultation and details such as vehicle numbers, axle loads, timing and health-and-safety arrangements.
