01
Connect event operations with movement outside the venue
The traffic plan should cover the setup, live event and removal periods, not only the public event hours. Arrival, departure, road restrictions and pedestrian flow need to match the organiser's confirmed programme.
- Include emergency and property access in the proposed arrangement.
- Show how parking or a detour affects surrounding roads and road users.
02
Operational event information to supply
Send the date, venue or route, operating times, attendance estimate, site plan, parking proposal, road impacts, setup schedule and access requirements.
- Identify closures and restrictions that require corridor information or drawings.
- Forward known authority requirements while keeping unconfirmed items labelled as such.
03
Start the traffic brief while changes are still manageable
An early scope review can identify missing event inputs, TMP and TMD needs, corridor application support and any on-site traffic-management requirement.
- Send the latest event plan rather than waiting for every detail to be final.
- Update the traffic documents when the route, schedule or attendance assumptions change.
