Match the traffic controls to the excavation sequence

Service location, excavation, connection, backfill and reinstatement can change the occupied area and access needs. The TMP should follow the actual sequence rather than only the final trench position.

  • Identify spoil, plant and work-vehicle positions as well as the excavation.
  • Keep driveway, footpath and property access impacts consistent across the TMP and CAR information.
02

Connection and reinstatement details to send

Provide the address, service plan, excavation dimensions, methodology, dates, hours, reinstatement approach, plant movements and site photos.

  • Show where the connection crosses or approaches traffic lanes, footpaths or driveways.
  • Include any existing corridor reference and authority comment.
03

Check the full work footprint before booking the dig

Send the service-connection brief for a review of the TMP, TMD and CAR or WAP support needed for the proposed work window.

  • Confirm whether the excavation plan or start date is still provisional.
  • State whether the site also requires on-road establishment and traffic management.
